Plectrum

DKK 9,950.00

This ring is called Plectrum and the star of this version is a beautifully saturated red Garnet accompanied by a diamond in brilliant cut 0.03ct tw.vs, set in 14 carat gold.

It was actually my husbond, who is a musician and a composer, who started calling this ring “Plectrum”. I found it quite fitting as this design has both a powerful expression and lyrical playfulness, making it a soft passionate ballad with quite an impact force. The delicate and the powerful in unison.

This piece is adorned with a beautiful Garnet. The Garnet has a long history as a coveted gemstone in many parts of the world. In the former Czechoslovakia it was used as far back as the Bronze Age and a huge industry still exists around the native red Garnets today. In Egypt it was used more than five thousand years ago. They were also popular in ancient Greek and Roman civilizations and used in Sweden, where they are also found, as early as between 1000 and 2000 B.C.

The Garnet has, since early days, been viewed as a stone of strenght, security and prosperity. It is connected to the Root Chakra and is said to bring grounding and the ability to manifest one’s desires into the world in a genuine and stabile way. As a stone of good fortune and prosperity, it is said to help create abundance and aid in removing the blockages to receiving the abundance created.

The Diamond is always a wonderful companion to any stone, magnifying any beneficial vibration the stone (or metal, for that matter) might emanate. The Diamond stimulates and opens all of the chakras, especially the Heart, Third Eye and Crown. Its radiance and brightness, cultivating lightness and alignment.
